"Greetings!" Seems like an appropriate beginning after being silent for so long. But actually I am referring to my latest artistic endeavors. Even though we email and FacetTime often, I love reading an actual letter or card from my sister or granddaughters. I even put "Real letters in my USPS mailbox" on my Christmas list and it has been so fun to get “real mail”. At Christmas I received a subscription to Sketchbook Skool and specifically a “kourse” about creating Greeting Cards. I started the exercises and had fun with Valentine’s and a couple of birthday cards. After the new year, I devoted most of January to getting ready for the Arizona Sage Art Market in early February. Then Mike and I took a three-week cruise in February - March! So it’s only recently that I have turned my attention back to designing cards. ![]() As 2018 is The Year of the Dog and that we have a new (to us) dog...Bert, I’ve been working on a series of cards featuring his wonderful black and white swirls and spots. The first batch has just arrived from the printer. You can find them in my Gallery/Shop.
If you're interested in a card for a particular occasion, let me know … I’d enjoy trying to figure a way to express that thought!
Here’s to spring! ~ Candace

Along the way....When I first decided to create a website, I thought of it as a virtual catalog to "get my work out there". Then I picked up a copy of Austin Kleon's Show Your Work. He so clearly states my sense of how we are a community of creatives who benefit from sharing our process and work; I decided it makes sense to blog and share mine. Enjoy. Archives
